Music Program
Music is an integral part of our worship service.
The choirs are open to people of all levels of experience. There are no auditions or prerequisites (except for the Bell Choir). During rehearsals choir members learn selections for Sunday services, and also learn about music and have fun. Rehearsals are held in the Choir Room (lower level) from mid-September until late May.
Chancel Choir - Thursday evenings 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.
The Chancel Choir is open to adults and prepares four-part choral octavos for the weekly service, which are sung during the Offertory. A cantata is usually performed yearly. Child care is available during rehearsal times with notice.
Bell Choir - Wednesday evenings 8:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The Bell Choir is open to anyone with basic music reading skills from junior high on up. It prepares two- and three-octave material for Sunday services, and also occasionally accompanies the choirs.
A duo of professional soloists sings during Sunday services and brings a wonderful added dimension to Calvary’s music program.
